I am brainstorming what about me, I started also listing down the things that about me and compounding them in a mind map.
When I was younger, my father was busy with business, and my mother was responsible for our six siblings. My mother was quite strict with us, and since we had so many siblings, she couldn't give each of us a fair quantity of time and attention. I was also a twin, which made me imbalanced. Aside from that, I'm always causing trouble and causing my parents to be angry and disappointed in me. My sister also scolds, blames, and judges me. I'm in a bad mood. I don't feel like I have any freedom at the time. Everything I do is improper. It causes me speechless and hopeless at that moment. When I started entering college last year, I live along in the Klang area. I have to learn how to survive by myself. I go grocery by myself, learn how to cook, meet new friends, and clean the house by myself. I like the way that I'm leaving now.
So in this project, I wanted to draw something that I am facing at that moment, and now I am slowly living the way I want to live. And I find some inspiration that related to what I wanted to draw.

In my perspective, this image show speechlessness and hopelessness. This image has meaning there but is not the thing I wanted to express.

When I saw this image, it reminded me that I am now kinda freedom living alone; however, before I can live the way I want to, I need to learn more and train myself to be more independent and confident. This image did not show the meaning I wanted, so I thought of instating drawing my own self. I plan to draw something that is natural.

Suddenly, I realized that the life cycle of a butterfly is similar to mine. I used to make people upset and ruin things when I was younger, exactly like the caterpillar devouring other people's plants and making people furious. And after he becomes a larva, is the moment that I am now. He must wait for the right moment to transform into a butterfly. And all I have to do is try my best and wait for the day to come.
Exploration
So I change the caterpillar into a human and the half body is inside the larva and another half is exposed on the outside.
2)
After that, I add a big tress beside to represent that is my core, whenever I do or done, it will always support me.
3)
In the end, I add a purple color to the background and apply some flowers to show harmony and repetition. Other than that I also used the rule of thirds that I put the larva on the right column to show emphasis. The tree also creates movement. For the star, I also applied different proportions.
Feedback from lecturer
_
•Need to describe more clearly why I like or hate things.
•Defined who am I
•Can use something to represent me no need
•Add on the tree at the side so that it look more reasonable.
Self-reflection for the week
_
This project not even train me in applying the principles of design, it also brings me back to my memories. When I look back, I only realize that the actions I do were so funny and silly. I want to thank what I’ve been through in the past that made me who I am today. This project means a lot to me. I can use my artwork to honor my past.
