Assignment 01

During week 01,  my Lecturer introduce me to the required tools and materials for the pattern drafting and garment making module and then taught me how to make the basic bodice and sleeve blocks.


These are the material for me to make my master pattern block.



This is my basic bodice and sleeve blocks. And I have to make sizes 10 and 12



In week 02, I proceed to make Basic pants and trouser block



This is the sizes 10 and 12 pants master pattern block.




These is trouser in size 10 and 12 master pattern block .




Week 03, I transfer my blocks from majong paper to boxboard


Size 10  bodice front and back pattern block in boxboard.


Size 12 bodice front and back pattern block in boxboard.

self-reflection
This assignment taught me how to make a garment from the ground up. Although this is only the basic pattern block, it does present a number of challenges, such as how to draw from the beginning, how the curl line should be, and what technique should be used to create the pattern block. However, my lecturer sent me a block guide to guide me so that after he teaches me how to create pattern blocks, I can refer back the step 1 by 1show so that I will be more clear on how to draw in each step.
